Well, Year 2008 is almost over, much to many people's relief. Without a doubt it has been a rough year for a lot of people. The economy has been a roller coaster with very few uphill climbs and many downhill dives. More scary than exciting. The housing market being one of the downhill dives, especially in the Phoenix area. In September, I saw some real hope for the housing market, with the amount of homes selling that month rising a bit, I dared to hope things were improving. Then, October and November saw a decline in homes sold, largely due to the stock market "crash." However, I am still quite hopeful that we will see a definite improvement in the Phoenix housing market in the next few months, barring any unforeseen economic tornadoes, due to the lowered interest rates.
Prices, I believe, will remain steady for a bit while we will see the number of homes sold each month increase. This is a great time to buy, truly. Prices are very low and interest rates are the lowest I've ever seen them, some even below 5%. If you have any opportunity to buy, now is the right time. Lock in a great rate and become a home owner. If you're interested in buying a home in Vistancia (Peoria), Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Surprise, Cave Creek, or anywhere in the Phoenix area, give me a call and we can discuss your options. I'd love to chat, even if you're just in the "thinking about buying" stage. Below, please find some information on homes sold over the last 12 months in the Phoenix area. I hope you find this information helpful in your decision-making process. If you have any questions, feel free to call me anytime at 623-760-8390 or email me at lisa@azhouseagent.com.
